I find myself getting tired everyday, like getting older. Like things don't go my way. Tired. With all the office stuffs making me even stressed out and tired. Where has all my sleep gone to? Sometimes I really missed those SINGLE time where I can sleep so much and anytime I wanted. But now was so restricted. Only can sleep when the child is sleeping. It was like sleeping times are dictated by the child. Poor mummy.. Lol. I really hope the day faster come when she don't need to wake up for milk.
But yesterday was a real funny night. As usual, Chloe will wake up for milk around 4am. Yes! 4am! The slightest movement on her anklet will wake me up. And I know is time! I will just push Mr to carry her out, or pacify her, so that she don't wake the whole family up but always mission failed. Cos Mr will sleep like a pig, even when she is crying, he also can't hear. Power! So I came back with the milk, bring her out of her Yao Yao, carry her to my bed, sit down, and give her the milk, while I closed my eyes, cos is really very tiring and sleepy, when you are in your sweet dreamland and suddenly awaken. Kinda irritating but no choice. After feeding her, burped her. Put her on the bed in between us. Again, as usual, she will behave like a worm. Wriggle here and there 360 degrees. One full circle. If you put her one corner of the bed, somehow she will appear at the other corner of the bed in a spilt minute. Just like last night, I put her next to me, and I quickly try to grab my beauty sleep, but always failed to, cos I scared she drop off the bed if I fall asleep before she does, or just dun feel right if I sleep before her. So I just take a few winks, and opened my eyes to spot check her, and know where she ended up? She always like to roll over to stick very close to Mr. This time round, she ended up at Mr's backside! Gosh! Her head already head bug his backside. I quickly carry her back to my position. Again, I close my eyes, next moment, when I wake up again, she was there at the BACKSIDE again, this time, trying to scratch his backside and pull his shorts. Again, I have to wake up and carry her back. This has been going on for a few times, until this very time, I burst out laughing. She was getting sleepy yet she still want to roll over. And when I opened my eyes, she was HUGGING his backside. Yes! Hugging, one hand below his butt, the other on top of his butt like hugging bolster. (Mr was sleeping on his side) I really laugh out despite I am so tired. Quickly pull her back again. It went on for an hour before she sleeps in her own position. Super tired! And headache everytime I go in to office due to lack of sleep. Morning I told Mr, if someone molest you you also dunno. Haha.. And maybe his butt got too much meat and soft until Chloe tot is her pillow/bolster. LOL!

Weekend always has to past so fast till we all got no time to sit down and relax and rest. Fri night was a fun night for me and Mr. It has been very very very long ever since we both went out on a Fri night with friends and stayed till midnight. I guess got at least a year plus since the last time we had such opportunity. Also thanks to sis to lend us her car so that we can afford to stay out later without hitching a midnight cab home. We had steamboat at Princesep Street, not bad and cheap. But I guess is the company you go out with, though I always stayed quiet when going out with Mr's friends, and only kept laughing at their lame and cold jokes and the way they shoot each other. Lol. Then later we all vote for a pool game, and me tot I have not been playing for a year plus, I wondered how was my skills, luckily, skills are still there, not so bad. Hehe.. Performed quite well too. Really missed holding that pool cue! Went home happily after some drinks and chat with them. Even a Fri night passed so fast.
Sat noon as mentioned, booked a "swimming" session with Hwa Xia International for Chloe. I went ahead with it cos Chloe like to play water during her bathing time, so I tot she will enjoy this. This was supposed to be like a baby per tub, with a neck float on them and they go into the tub of water and kick and play water. I was telling Mr she might not like the neck float thing, cos she was always like a missy, fusses alot, so I got no confident she will pass this. True enough, she was happily entering the shop, no scared of the strangers, still laughing with them. So we all tot, is a good start and they kept complimenting on her beautiful eyes. And who knows, next moment, after taking off her clothings, neck float haven't even put halfway, she already cried so loud. They quickly just fasten the neck float and put her legs into the water. Her toes barely touch the water she cried again. Poor Chloe. I guess she is so uncomfortable with the float cos when I see it, though it looks cute but can feel the uncomfyness. And maybe also her legs couldn't touch the base and she felt insecure, so cry. Ended up, I tot we do not need to pay anything cos we haven't even done any swimming for her. But who knows, the lady said have to pay, cos we WASTED a tub of water. $20 gone. But is ok, we cannot blame Chloe cos was her first time anyway. We just need to get her exposed to big swimming pool before we attempt to try again if we want again. Oh, and when we were dressing her up, a family just came in with their daughter and lying beside Chloe, and suddenly the mum ask me how old is Chloe, and I answered back. I was too busy dressing her up cos she keep playing "worm" with me, wriggle here and there, and I heard the mum asked " Is she Hun Xue? (Meaning mixed blood), I didn't answered her this time but at the corner of my eye I could see her looking at me and Mr, haha.. Maybe she was hoping to see an Ang moh Wahaha But too bad.. both Chinese. Lol.

Side track a little, Sun night was having this SiChuan donation charity show live on TV. First time, I stayed throughout the whole show. I can say this is a very successfully funds collection and even though without any fanciful clothings and dangerous shows, just touching songs and poems, is enough to warm our hearts. True enough, I did cried upon hearing those sad stories and poems. Yes, the poems! To mothers, from their passed away children, asking them not to cry and take care. Really damn sad. It came to a point, a story of how a mother crouched and protect her 3-4months' old baby when the earthquake happened and the baby lived. And accompanied with the baby was a SMS to ask the baby to live on, and remember how his/her mother look. I cried. At the same, felt really sad for the baby cos he/she lived, but with the loss of a mother. I guess being a mother now, the impact to me was so strong. Maybe it won't be if I am not a mother now. I even put myself in that mother's shoe, and thinking I would do the same as well for my baby. But will it turn out bad in some way as the baby has become an orphan? The more I think, the more I cried. And for the first time, I made my donation on such charity shows, even no matter how broke I am now. Cos I really felt sad for those survived babies and those parents who lost their child. Just hope though this small amount could help them. Learnt to treasure lives and people especially families even more.
Ok, enough of the sad stuffs, let's look at Chloe's new pictures. I hope that she will more nice pictures so I can send to many more baby photo contests haha..kiasu mother. Maybe it just triggered me even more when her picture was actually published in Mother and Baby magazine under baby albums column.

At last maid is here..
At last after the long wait, Thi Thi Kway, our maid is here on Friday. Me and Mr went to fetch her from the agency. The feeling was like very weird, cos I never in my mind tot that I will have a maid. So feeling confused what should I do there when I go fetch her. I even asked Mr must shake her hands, say Welcome to our family ornot. Lol. He say shake your head la. Haha.. So we just signed papers, she read her Do and Don't aloud in Myanmar language which we all also dunno what she reading. Then agent asked if we want to keep her $5 since we have the right to keep any monetary stuffs. But of cos, I don't see the need to keep it since is only $5! What can she do with $5?! Run away? Anyway, after all paying and signing of papers, we brought her back, she said BYEBYE to her fellow "maids" that are still in the agency. Really funny feeling. The beginning of "what will happen from this time onwards" life. We do not know what to talk to the maid, so only me and Mr talk to ourselves in the car, except asking her what she want to eat. So I brought her to the hawker center, buy her Cai Fan, let her pick her own dish, end up she only wanted a TOFU, thinking where got enough for her, I picked pork for her. What a good employer she has right?! lol. End up she didn't finish her food, left half. We all tot she is a small eater! Haha. But can't tell cos is only first day. Lucky she know abit of english and speak abit. Still not too bad.
Today is her 5th day at our home. Till now, I think we all are stressed up, especially us. We really do not know how to communicate to her, or tell her what things she should do. Having only a 3 room flat, seemed like very little things to be done. But somehow, there are things that we want her to do but end up didn't tell her, dunno why. And felt that we are wasting our money to have a maid. Or rather, felt even more stressed up with a maid, everyday thinking what to give her to do. Seeing her nothing to do and boring, make us lagi more stressed. Just like last night, she got nothing to do after dinner, like 8pm plus, she just sat on the floor looking at the Guan Yin and the dog, until my mil tell her to go to sleep which was like 9pm and her normal sleeping time is 10pm. Argh.. got maid also shang nao jing, no maid also felt so helpless. So far, still can't judge her working performance, cos is only the 5th day. So far, she has learnt to iron the clothes, mop the floor (my mil said is still not very clean though she mop for 2 to 3 hours, faintz.), use the electronics, walk the dog, feed baby, make milk, wash bottles, and always I have to remind her to wash her hands before carrying Chloe! And also to remind her to wash her hair everyday as she is not used to bathe everyday back in her hometown. Gosh.
I really hope she will do better, and also me and Mr to be more firm and fierce in instructing her what to do. And also we decided to do monthly performance review with her, if she performs well, we will give her a 13month bonus.. Haha.. Sounds cool right. I really wonder if she keeps on wanting to carry Chloe rather than do housework is it a GOOD thing? I really don't want just to spend money just employing a maid to carry baby, though is a good thing that she likes kid. But she also has to keep the house clean and do her chores well, and not just anyhow. Haiz. Really hard to train a maid.
But everyday she has tons of clothes to wash, at first she used her hands to wash, but slowly just only 4th day mil tot her how to use the washing machine. We still originally tot just let her hand wash since she got nothing much to do. haha. But I see that big ton of clothes piling in the toilet I also scared. Haha.. Maybe we all waiting for the maid to come then one shot throw all our dirty clothings to her to wash. lol.
So happen, that we packed our room on Sat, just only me and Mr, cos we do not know how to instuct the maid to help us. Cos she also dunno how we want our room to be. So end up, we felt we are more like maids. Haha. We rearranged all the furniture in our room, and packed up all the unwanted stuffs. Then just happen we took some of my sister in law stuffs to wash. And one of them was the shrek ears hairband. Haha.. yesterday evening the hairband was dried and left on the sofa, and Chloe was sitting on mil's lap, and I don't know why, I think I too free, went to put that hairband on Chloe's head. Haha. And quickly ran to take the camera. Bo liao right. But is cute! I even took it and wear it and showed it to her, she just gave me a blur face! Must be thinking why I got green ears!

Chloe's first rice cereal
Yesterday after work, went home and decided tonight shall be the night. For her first solid food. Friscocrem rice cereal. Smells like adults' oats. Tastes sweet (have to try before giving it to her).
At first I tot that has to be cooked over fire, so I got excited over the image of a caring mummy making meals for her baby. But who knows, image broken. Cos friscocrem just had to add into warm water and stir. Duhz. Anyway, Chloe also got excited and thinking what am I doing walking up and down, washing bowl and spoon. Haha.
Next moment, wore her bib. Ready. Yum Yum. I think being first time feeding a baby really tends to get messy as I don't know how to make her open her mouth or fed it into her mouth. So left the job to mum in law and see her how to do it, being she has gone through this process of feeding Mr and sister in law. After 10 mouths she started to get irritated and don't want anymore. No forcing. Cos doc say only feed her when she is in good mood, else she might get phobia of eating. Try again the next time, and I shall take video of it. Haha. This time round just a few pics.

Mother's day
Does all my "Mummies" friends have a nice mother's day? I wondered how each of you celebrate your first mother's day this year. To me, was like any other normal day. Or maybe I expect too much, to have a day off for me, have a special gift and dinner, or maybe have a romantic family outing just like valentine's day except with another new member?? Haha.. but anyways, really had a tiring weekend from friday to sunday.
Friday I was down with food poisoning and fever AGAIN! I really hate the feeling of having fever, cos with that heavy head, and pain, this time round, pain in stomach as well. White porridge. But friday was supposed to be eating out for mother's day, felt so sad, that even if I go out, can't eat much as well, somemore BUFFET! But, I still dragged myself to go with my sister and mum in law to a little shopping at DFS before heading to harbourfront for dinner at 7pm. Bought my Jurlique moisturiser at DFS, and we walked on to Polo Ralph Lauren. Hehe, that day came here with Tecko and saw Polo's baby clothings and got so excited about it though I didn't buy. This time round there was 50% discount and with further staff discount of 20%! I will not let it go by! I bought 2 sets of Polo dresses for Chloe! Hehe.. Dunno why shopping for her stuffs really perks me up, forgetting that I am sick! Lol. But once shopping over, and reached the restaurant, I became sick again. No appetite. :( Missed out all the nice food. Sianz.
Sat had to wake up early cos it's Chloe's monthly injection/checkup! I always look forward to this day every month. Dunno why. Doc say she is underweight, slow weight gain. She is now 6kg, 61.5cm. So he advised that we should start giving her rice cereal to see if she can gain weight faster. Hmm.. maybe she wants to be a slim model in future. Haha.. This time round, she cried very loudly for a few seconds when the needle poke her. Doc said this time she can feel it while other times she didn't cry cos she got no feeling. How can it be right?? Haha.. After doc visit which was suprisingly early, cos doc came early and we are no. 2 in queue. So we decided to go IMM for a walk but shops not even opened at 945am. First time we reached IMM so early in the morning. Feeling so tired, was like just woke up and then blur blur go shopping centre to shop. Weird feeling. But anyways, went home around 12noon for a quick nap before my auntie come to fetch us at 430pm for the evening dinner at Shokudo with my mum, brother n his gf, and simon uncle and family. It should be a fun outing as it was, only thing we are all so tired and didn't shop after dinner, just went straight home so sad. Dinner was so filling though seemed like we ate so little. Considered ate alot though my stomach was not feeling well, I just gorge myself like never eaten for days! Lol. It was only 8pm when we reached home. I was expecting we shop till late but who knows.. But also good, cos she was having slight fever from the injection, so she could have an early rest, and ME TOO!
Sun another shopping day. After my dad fetch us home, we let Chloe slept a little while, but even before she woke up, we are ready for another shopping trip at OG bugis for mum in law's mother's day present. And oh yes, my mum was happy with hers, Sovil Titus couple watch with my Dad's. Advance father's day present. hehe. Bugis OG is always so crowded with the hourly sale outside, and underwear selling at $1 each! But not tempting for me, cos I hate to see messy underwears and bras sale...Lol. Ended up, mum in law didn't see any favourite wallet, unfruitful trip. But me, Mr and Chloe had happy one. We brought her to the toys section, there was this big size lying down pooh bear she like. I brought it close to her and she laughed so loud. Played a little while and we left. Then we played hide and seek at the Home Plus shop, she laughed loud again. So cute. After that, we went to Mac for a drink, then I started to feel regret that I didn't buy that pooh bear though it was only $19.90. So ended up I told Mr I want to buy. We all bring her up again and she laughed. But there was no new piece, the current one got hole! We showed her other pooh bears, no same reaction. She just kept looking at the big one. So sad. We left without buying her. I promised her that tomorrow during lunch time I will go kiddy palace to buy since I rem I saw it there and Tecko wanted it for her bday. So we left home empty handed.
Tdy at work was so lonely cos Mat was on leave. But I look forward to lunch time, asked Nelson to acc me to Marina Square Kiddy Palace to buy that pooh bear. Who knows, there didn't sell. Only sell the ugly ones we saw at BHG as well. Haiz. Damn Sad! Waste parking fee and go back empty handed again. Called up Mr and he said tonight maybe go Vivo see have ornot. I cannot imagine if Chloe actually know and waiting at home for me to go home with that big pooh bear, but only disappointed to see I go through the door empty handed. I know that kind of sad feeling, even though she is a baby and know nuts about it. But as a parent, a promise is a promise. How man! Hopefully there is a miracle tonight. :)

Bought my Jurlique moisturiser at DFS, and we walked on to Polo Ralph Lauren. Hehe, that day came here with Tecko and saw Polo's baby clothings and got so excited about it though I didn't buy. This time round there was 50% discount and with further staff discount of 20%! I will not let it go by! I bought 2 sets of Polo dresses for Chloe! Hehe.. Dunno why shopping for her stuffs really perks me up, forgetting that I am sick! Lol. But once shopping over, and reached the restaurant, I became sick again. No appetite. :( Missed out all the nice food. Sianz.
Sat had to wake up early cos it's Chloe's monthly injection/checkup! I always look forward to this day every month. Dunno why. Doc say she is underweight, slow weight gain. She is now 6kg, 61.5cm. So he advised that we should start giving her rice cereal to see if she can gain weight faster. Hmm.. maybe she wants to be a slim model in future. Haha.. This time round, she cried very loudly for a few seconds when the needle poke her. Doc said this time she can feel it while other times she didn't cry cos she got no feeling. How can it be right?? Haha.. After doc visit which was suprisingly early, cos doc came early and we are no. 2 in queue. So we decided to go IMM for a walk but shops not even opened at 945am. First time we reached IMM so early in the morning. Feeling so tired, was like just woke up and then blur blur go shopping centre to shop. Weird feeling. But anyways, went home around 12noon for a quick nap before my auntie come to fetch us at 430pm for the evening dinner at Shokudo with my mum, brother n his gf, and simon uncle and family. It should be a fun outing as it was, only thing we are all so tired and didn't shop after dinner, just went straight home so sad. Dinner was so filling though seemed like we ate so little. Considered ate alot though my stomach was not feeling well, I just gorge myself like never eaten for days! Lol. It was only 8pm when we reached home. I was expecting we shop till late but who knows.. But also good, cos she was having slight fever from the injection, so she could have an early rest, and ME TOO!
Sun another shopping day. After my dad fetch us home, we let Chloe slept a little while, but even before she woke up, we are ready for another shopping trip at OG bugis for mum in law's mother's day present. And oh yes, my mum was happy with hers, Sovil Titus couple watch with my Dad's. Advance father's day present. hehe. Bugis OG is always so crowded with the hourly sale outside, and underwear selling at $1 each! But not tempting for me, cos I hate to see messy underwears and bras sale...Lol. Ended up, mum in law didn't see any favourite wallet, unfruitful trip. But me, Mr and Chloe had happy one. We brought her to the toys section, there was this big size lying down pooh bear she like. I brought it close to her and she laughed so loud. Played a little while and we left. Then we played hide and seek at the Home Plus shop, she laughed loud again. So cute. After that, we went to Mac for a drink, then I started to feel regret that I didn't buy that pooh bear though it was only $19.90. So ended up I told Mr I want to buy. We all bring her up again and she laughed. But there was no new piece, the current one got hole! We showed her other pooh bears, no same reaction. She just kept looking at the big one. So sad. We left without buying her. I promised her that tomorrow during lunch time I will go kiddy palace to buy since I rem I saw it there and Tecko wanted it for her bday. So we left home empty handed.
Tdy at work was so lonely cos Mat was on leave. But I look forward to lunch time, asked Nelson to acc me to Marina Square Kiddy Palace to buy that pooh bear. Who knows, there didn't sell. Only sell the ugly ones we saw at BHG as well. Haiz. Damn Sad! Waste parking fee and go back empty handed again. Called up Mr and he said tonight maybe go Vivo see have ornot. I cannot imagine if Chloe actually know and waiting at home for me to go home with that big pooh bear, but only disappointed to see I go through the door empty handed. I know that kind of sad feeling, even though she is a baby and know nuts about it. But as a parent, a promise is a promise. How man! Hopefully there is a miracle tonight. :)

Chloe turned 5 months' old..
On 6 May 2008, Chloe turned 5 months' old. Being on a weekday, not able to take alot of photos for her. So hurriedly took pictures for her before I go to work and luckily she was happie when she woke up and even smiled for me. Till date, she doesn't have much changes in terms of her looks, or maybe I see her everyday so didn't notice much changes of her. Hmm.. she hasn't learnt any new skills, she can only flip one direction, and not learning yet to flip back to lie on her back, lazy isn't she.. But she is trying to crawl, by lifting her butt high up and push herself.. But she can't go far but just a little distance. And she got angry and start to make noise cos she isn't moving much! Haha.. Hopefully end of this 5 months, she can crawl and dig into pillows, turn to wherever the voice is calling her.. and most importantly, able to sit up without support, then I can buy her high-up chair to let her have her own meals! Hehe..
Looking forward to this sat family outing again, but have to be after she has her jab. Maybe go take neo prints! and go ikea get some stuffs for the maid. Sianz.. maid monday then come! due to myanmar's cyclone issue. And all of us thinking the maid still there ornot..
