Nice Family Outing on Sat.

As mentioned on the earlier post, we going to bring Chloe out every Sat so that she will see more of the "world". And indeed, we really had a nice Sat afternoon together but this time round, together with my dad and mum in law. Bcos Mr going to buy a LG KS20 mobile for me, so we decided to head down to Singtel at West Mall to take a look at the phone. And I was so happie that I decided to treat everyone SAKAE SUSHI! Hehe.. Yum yum. Been wanting to eat that for a week. But it wasn't quite a good start as they left the only table infront which was quite cramp for 5 of us. So they brought us to the unopened section which was like so stuffy, we asked them to see if they can on the aircon for us, too bad, it is centralised for the whole shopping center. One thing good is their manager came personally to tell us that they have complained to the management of the building and they are looking into it. Haha.. soon after repairman came to take a look but still hot lah. We didn't quite had a good lunch cos the place was so noisy and Chloe couldn't sleep in her stroller equals to we can't eat without carrying her. End up, dad in law carried her out for a walk while 3 of us carry on eating and took some pictures as well, supposedly to take pictures for Chloe. :( Lol

After lunch, dad has to go back to work, and mum decided not to go shopping with us, which gave us, the small little family, family time! Chloe was actually sleeping in the stroller so me and Mr could do some window shopping. Of cos, not soon after she woke up. We brought her to Tom n Stephanie to see toys. We bought her a toy ball as promised to buy a toy for her. I doubt any parents can resist the temptation to buy toys for their children LOL! She was enjoying her toy, and surprised me was she knew how to grab the "edges" out of the ball when she got her hands on it. Smart girl.

After going to Singtel shop and walking around, we went to Shop n Save to buy drinks. I noticed each time we brought Chloe out, people tends to notice her and smile/talk to her. Dunno why. Inside Shop n Save we decided to play catching, is Chloe's favourite game. She likes being carried by Mr and me chasing behind after them. Then we will run, and me, the poor mummy, have to chase after them and shout "Catch you! Catch you!" I don't mind though it seemed to be silly, but who cares as long as Chloe is laughing out loud, which really means LOUD. Haha.. One day I should record down her laughter. I really had a nice sat afternoon!

Time flies and time to go back to my mum's place since my mum has not seen for 2 weeks and missed her so terribly and at the same time worried she won't recognise her. True enough, when we reach her place, Chloe really cried upon seeing my mum and brother. My mum was so sad. The same scenario when Chloe was in Batu. After dinner, as usual went to my uncle's place. And same thing, she made the crying face then wail so loud when she sees anyone. But really, she was playing with all of them 2 weeks ago, and so fast she forgets about them. I tot babies should have superb memory? After about 2 hours, she started to slowly adapt to them. My 7th uncle was the funniest one, always want to tease her, he used a pillow to cover his own face and called her name. So that when Chloe turn over she won't see his face but 2nd uncle's face, thinking was this uncle who called out to her. She kept staring at 2nd uncle but 2nd uncle purposedly don't look at her cos he knew she will cry. 7th uncle did that so many times until I also sianz and went back to my cousin's room to sleep. Haha. Luckily, my mum managed to make Chloe sleep until they finished their MJ game which was around 11pm. But sleeping beauty had not woke up, my auntie still tell us to let her sleep until she wake up or else we all sleep over. Faint. Luckily we carried her up and go home, cos she slept all the way until 3am plus. :)

Sun morning I woke up with a flu, I tot that was usual from sleeping in aircon room. But who knows, it prolonged till afternoon and came with a headache. My dad fetched us back after lunch, and I was still feeling very bad. Felt so sad, sat was a happy day, but sun became a sick day. Ate panadols got no effect on me. The clock striked 12 midnight, and I started to have fever of 39.1 degrees. I asked to go see a doc at this time, cos I cannot stand the pain in my head. I regret seeing doc at midnight which really cost a bomb - $77! Somemore the medicine got no effect on me, I wonder is it becos the doc knew so gave me 2 days MC. Damn shitty! Made me spent another bomb - $45 at Mr's family doctor. He asked the doc to give me an injection. Cry. Imagine I am already so afraid of needles during my pregnancy period, and now I have to take another injection on my butt. Is really painful can feel the "medicine" flowing down my legs, and I was limping. Injection was quite effective I tot, and maybe I could go to work the next day, but who knows, I really made full use of the 2 days MC cos fever came back again. Till now, typing my blog, temperature was still abit unstable. Worst fever in my life! Dunno what's wrong inside my system. Hopefully I can get well by today cos tomorrow is a HOLIDAY = FAMILY DAY! Bringing Chloe out to play again!

The week is soon coming to an end, but I am already physically and mentally exhausted. Mon I was working from home, juggling between work and looking after Chloe already make me physically exhausted. And somemore, these few nights dunno what' wrong with her, kept waking up around 5am plus talking and making noise and sometimes crying, until I do not know what to do with her. This I came to know why people always say 妈妈最伟大, waking up in the middle of night a few times to attend to baby, breastfeeding and all other misc stuff. But it set me wonder when can I ever have "nights off" whereby I can sleep through the night without waking up a single time and all will be taken well care of by Mr. Wondering... But anyway, I want to be heroine mah.. Heroine also needs rest right? Haha.. lol.

Then tues and wed was draining me as well, on tues we went for the Cisco Tree planting at Dairy Farm from 1pm to 4pm. Me and Mat thought it might be exciting, but who knows haven't even got on the bus, we already feeling very sleepy and not a bit of excitement. And even fell asleep on the bus to and fro. Haha.. During the digging of the soil, some really so professional, while we 3 girls like having the need to use so much energy to dig the soil and the changkol is really heavy! Lucky we are not there tree planting for whole day else all our arms might grow 小老鼠(if you know what I mean). :)

On wed, was JP morgan run. Hmm. This event was better, more excitement in us. Kept saying and thinking will we have energy to complete the run or are we going to walk all the way. I have not been running for years, and if we going to walk all the way, will be my first time to walk till the finishing line, as past runs, me and Sok will run more than walk. How sad, this year is running without her. But anyways, me and Mat took train to the destination while the rest walked there which I think is crazy from TJ to cityhall and is a waste of energy! The day before, we already said we going to take pictures before and after. And so while walking and waiting for the train, we took photos! Silly photos! We didn't even bother about other people's stares. Haha.. Becos of us being lazy, we lost our base station, cannot find them at the starting line, so no choice, we have to be on our own and tried to look out for them during the run. Of cos, though there are only 2 of us, there are still laughter and jokes along the way. Only until half way through then we spotted Diana who is supposed to walk with us. So we quickly ran to join her. And union all the way until finishing line. Again, me and Mat have to go collect our bags and you should know, we lost our base station again! Really sux, this is the first run that I lost my base station 2 times! So no group photo at the end of the run. So sad! And we both just went home after we took some photo ourselves. Pathetic but fun still. :)

See, this week is so funfilled and the most important of all, we get to off work earlier. HAHAHA.. no more such events for the time being. :(

Looking forward toward Sat where me and Mr decide to bring Chloe out every Sat so that she don't become mountain tortoise and cry upon seeing strangers haha.. family outing is always I wished for, cos is the most meaningful event in life. Family person I am right!? Hoho..

Oh and our ballot queue for the HDB was 548th out of 5k plus people. But the thing is only 490 flats is on offer. Though my auntie say pretty good chance already. Shall see, if we can get our hands on our top choice on 25 May 2008. Is the day. And another piece of good news for my family, our application for our maid has approved! yay! Thi Thi Kway is coming on 6th May 2008! Is it a time for laziness to kick in? lol.. everyday can wear nicely ironed clothes, eat home cooked food, cleaned floors and rooms. Haha..

Hope everything will be going smoothly but I doubt so, cos life is so happening everyday! :)

Weekends we went back to Batu visit Ah Ma. Along the journey everything was fine. Chloe was behaving herself. Who knows when we reached, went up the house and the moment she saw Ah Ma she cried like mad. We brought her into the room, she still crying non stop. No choice we brought her to the balcony to see car car, then she stop crying. So we tot she has calmed down, we brought her back to the room, she started to cry like mad again. Like so ke lian.. So I asked Mr how come like that ah, is it she saw something?? Lol. Then after like an hour she got used to the room. So me and Mr tot "Ok, let's bring her out, since she is smiling already." Then the moment we open the door, step out, she frown and then she cried! We bring her back the room again. Then she fell asleep, too tired from crying. So sad, Mr was even saying don't bring her in during July already since it is so taxing for us as well. When she woke up, we brought her out to bowling and shopping cos doubt anyone can handle her if we just leave her at home with my sister in law and mum in law. So all of us went out together!

When we came back, she cried again when seeing Ah Ma and maid. haha.. really set us all laughing. So we went back the room, helped her wash up and then make her sleep. Then we can have our dinner which was like 9 plus. Thinking we can come in to do our data entry, but who knows, such thing happen and all of us were so tired until after dinner I slept. And Mr also slept early than usual. Next morning, the maid carry Chloe and play with her so she become used to it. Heng.. during about 11am me and Mr went out shopping again thinking since the maid can handle her already. Who knows we called back and told that when she woke up she cried like mad again but lucky they quickly setup the yao lan and within 30 seconds she slept, we set our mind at ease and continue to shop. Lol. She was still sleeping when we came back. And she liked that yao lan so much she was smiling while lying inside. Haha so cute. When we came back, was my sister in law's turn to go shopping.. Haha.. Overall, I guess she gotten used to the maid and Ah Ma, hopefully she still remember them when we come back in July for Ah Ma's birthday.

Today I worked from home again cos mum and dad need to go see doc in the morning and afternoon respectively. When mum came back she was so sad cos she has very little chance to recover, as her hand's bones was not "putting" in place and won't be lively as a normal hand even when recovered, but that is like going to be a very long long time. Haiz. She was so sad that cannot carry Chloe.. and of cos, needless to say, if the maid was to be here, she ought to stay with us for a very long time as well. Which means higher expense. I really wondered how to make more money and hopefully a higher pay job if I can get. :(

Today at 2pm will know if we can get our ballot queue for the HDB home. Pray... Dunno why these few days I kept getting migraine. Not enough sleep is one of the reason I think. Whatever it is, I hope everything will go smoothly .. life is too exciting and happening for us already.

Last Sat was Chloe's 4 months' old pedia appointment. As usual me and Mr was so excited about how much she has grown. And when taking measurements, even the nurse also said she has grown so much or maybe she just said to talk to the baby so that she won't cry while lying on the weighing machine. Anyway now her present weight was 5.75kg and height of 60.5cm! She is now heavier than a pack of 5kg rice! No wonder... my hands were always tired from carrying her.. :( I wonder how much more can I tahan before I reached my threshold... :P The funny thing is during injection, she never cries or make noise.. Everyone was thinking wow her skin so thick meh! How brave she is, unless she don't know the meaning of pain. Lol.

After doc appt, we sent her back and we went back again to Toa Payoh hub for the HDB talk on "How to build your love nest". It was really very informative such that everything can be found on the website. But I can say those Q&A session which the audience asked was really interesting and from there, then we can learn extra information. There was one girl who asked this question, "I and my daddy jointly bought a BTO flat which will be ready by 2012, and what happen during these years I got married and happens that me and my hubby income is more than 8k, will HDB forfeit our flat application?" So the head of sales from HDB answered her question "if your case is a genuine one, and if you really get married, congrats. HDB won't forfeit your flat." I found it pretty straightforward answer but she somehow do not understand the answer. And she asked the second time "So does that mean that I can get married?" Everyone laughed at her question, indirectly asking for permission to get married. Lol. Anyway they sort it out after the whole session cos the girl has become blur.. Now our turn to headache whether where should we buy, should we buy now, how many rooms should we buy, will we be squeeze dry after buying a house. All these questions really are a headache! Haiz.. It's really not easy to decide on buying a house, which is called a LONG TERM COMMITMENT! how nice if gov could give every married couple a home to stay in.. hehe..

Hopefully we will reach a decision by the end of 16 Apr which is the closing date.

Chloe being 4 months old..

How time really flies, and she is now 4 months old.. I have always heard people telling me to bear until 4 months old and she will sleep like a baby = more.. but it doesn't seem so.. maybe she does improve a little by sleeping more at night and now we only have to wake up like 1am and 5am.. 1am Mr will take care, and 5am of cos me, cos Mr already slept like pig. Recently I have been reading this book, No Cry Sleep Solution. Though I read only halfway through, the meaning of sleeping through the night means 5 hours non stop of sleep.. Hmm.. if this really meant, Chloe does sleep through the night! Ok, it does console me after reading this book, but she isn't having enough sleep during daytime.. a 4 month old baby has to sleep like 6 hours in total for her naps.. but I guess she doesn't. And the book says, if a baby doesn't have enough sleep during the day, she will become sleep derived and become chronically not tired, which means she will find it so difficult to sleep through the night. In other words, she is too "pek che" to fall asleep and in deep sleep, being sleeping too little at night. :( Hope she will outgrow this stage soon.

Over the weekends was Qing Ming, as usual every year without fail, we will gather at a temple in Whampoa to pray to my grandpa and grandma. Though being married, but still I went alone, cos Mr is in reservist and the temple is too crowded to bring a baby along. The feeling when I reached there was, so weird, I felt that I am brought back to those days when I am single..dunno why.. But anyways, we were always earlier than those uncles and aunties, and we sat there talking to my 2 darling cousins.. as Cheryl just came back from Shanghai and she told me all the funny stories about her handicap when she was there. Damn funny when she described those scenes. And her family persuaded me to go back to JE to fetch Chloe to my home for lunch so that they can play with her and Cheryl has not actually seen her since she was 1 month old. So then my auntie fetch me back to fetch her, felt so bad, cos when I reached JE, she was sleeping and I have to wake her up..No choice.. :(

All had fun at my home, my 2 darling cousins also had fun playing with her, and we took alot of pictures with her Mac. And she commented that Chloe is SUPER CUTE lo.. Lolz.. but she hasn't seen her noti times..Haha. And one of my auntie gave Chloe a nickname.. calling her "CHIAK CHIAK CHIAK" cos she loved to make these "crying" sounds, where of cos she is not crying, just seeking attention. Faintz..

Looking for this weekend, to bring her to her pedia, to have her injection again. Hehehe.. Sounds like I am so happy bringing her to injection right? haha.. no la.. I mean going out as a family!
