Great Food since Friday!!

Sounds yummy at my post title?? Hehe. Is the time of the year again when I get to eat good food pre, actual and post of my bdae! But this year the pre seemed to start early, means I get to eat more good food!

On friday, I brought mum & dad in law, Mr, Chloe and maid to Dian Xiao Er at Vivo, since I had cravings for roast duck dunno since when and Mat say is very nice, so there we are. But ended up, I sat in the queue for 45 mins while waiting for all them to arrive. Hai. The waiter kept on smiling to me cos I sat in the first of the queue for so long!! I was thinking maybe by the time they came, I already fainted in the queue and they will feed me with roast duck! Haha. But it didn't happen! LOL! But I still think Asian Kitchen's roast duck is nicer. But the nestum prawns are nice and the mongolian spare ribs! Yum!

On Sat afternoon, went over to Sis in law's place to visit her and I even prepared swim stuffs for Chloe to swim cos weather is damn sunny over at the East! Too sunny and hot until we can't go yet at 1pm. So we went to Comex for a walk then by the time 4pm we came back it started raining. We all said Chloe has no fate with swim. Cry. Then evening dinner, brought my parents to the Japanese restaurant, a part of suki group, at Jurong West Stadium. But due to having a late lunch, I didn't eat much but just some light finger foods. And fed Chloe some Salmon and tofu. But she vomited out all, maybe the Salmon got stuck somewhere. Sad.

Then on Sun super early morning at 6am, woke up to get ready for SMRT challenge! Long awaited challenge. And me and Mat kept saying "$2000 is OURS!!" Even when we were getting ready near the flag off line, when the hosts shouted some invite for some VIPS, then there is a moment of silence, and we even suggested to shout "$2000 is OURS!" Super funny. But too bad, we got stuck on our first mission cos of a stupid fire extinguisher we can't find, made us lose 1 hour there finding it! And guess what, end up we become team no 154 out of 250 teams! So MALU! We should have strategised our safety net option before the challenge and maybe who knows "$2000 is OURS!" Sadded.. took our goodie bag and off we went back. Of cos, me and Mr had a nice dim sum lunch at Fortunate restaurant. My har gao cravings has been satisfied! The feeling is so shiok! We went to comex to buy router and SD card then head home to play with Chloe. When we reached home and quickly wanted to get a bathe, we were smelly and hot. Then suddenly Mr whipped out from his cupboard, 2 sets of identical army t shirt and shorts and passed it to me to wear after bathe. So funny. And we came out of the bathrooms with same clothing. LOL. Mr napped, but me try to keep my eyes open to play with her since after all Sunday to me is a family day..

See all the nice food I get to eat since Thurs, and more coming up till Monday (post). I wonder where Mr will bring me on Wed! Awaiting..

Swimming failure!!

Remember the will to take Chloe to swim after buying her the new thermal wear and neck float, there was this chance last sat. But the weather wasn't so promising, when we were reaching the car, it starts to drizzle but we still went ahead. When we reached the pool, she was still smiling when we put on her neck float, good chance. But who knows when her legs touched the water she cried! We guessed the water too cold! It's really very cold. Then from then, she started to make noise when we bring her near the waters. Sad. We haven't even reached 10 mins we went off. HOW SAD! Wonder when got chance again. This weekend might be bringing her to sit Singapore Flyer and as well as pre celebrate my birthday! :P

On Sat, then realise from my Auntie that Chloe's bottom tooth has started to emerged! Bad mummy am I? I "poke" my finger into her mouth and touched her bottom gum, YES!! I touched SOMETHING!! Hehe.. Imagine her with tooth!! Sure be so cute!!

Now I know actually Chloe also has a sense of jealousy. My sister in law just gave birth and we tried to ask Chloe to see and touch her. But she simply BO CHAP! Then pretend to look away. Should have filmed it down. I told her that mummy sayang baby. She simply just look away! So funni.

Look forward to a busy weekend this week, with Sun's SMRT challenge! Fun Fun FUN!

Sat almost half a day gone without spending time with Chloe. Sad. She must be feeling so sad not to see us on a Sat morning when she woke up. Sat morning me and Mr went for the SMRT challenge 2008 pre briefing. Though it sounds like a easy game, but not at all with the rules and regulations and demerit timings added to the final race timing. For example, using a help option will cause us 20mins demerit, violate the rules will cause us 5 mins and taking a taxi to the destination will cause 50mins! Haha. There are so many people taking part in it maybe 2k, and I find it hard to be winner. The guy who briefed us was really so funny and action-pack! He even asked who took part in all 4 years SMART challenge, surprisingly there are 2 guys who put up their hand and it sets everyone laughing! Hopefully we can make it to top 3! Ambitious abit!

Supposingly to go for a free makeover after the briefing but who knows they can't find Mr's name on their appoointment list and so happen Mr deleted the SMS confirmation. And they won't let us in without the SMS. Damn bad service. Chased us away. Very bad. Later inthe day the person called and asked if we coming down again, just replied we are not making another wasted trip down. The name of the company is called SNAPZ.
So ended up, Mr brought me to Vivo for a walk before heading home.

Wanted to bring Chloe for a swim but the timing is kinda late as we need to head to my home before 6pm. Therefore we told her that we will bring her for a swim the next day which is yesterday.

But come to yesterday, it was raining when we reach back JE home, and so we told her ok, you go for a little nap when you wake up the rain would be gone and we can go for a swim. But who knows, she woke up at 4pm! When she woke up, can hear she got a little stuck nose, so not sure if to bring her for a swim. Fed her milk and so happen sis came back and we can borrow her car. God's will. When we changed, ready for the swim. RAIN POURS! Maybe it's really God's will that we shouldn't bring her to swim in case she gets flu again. No choice, changed back her clothes and she cried!! Poor girl. We will definitely bring her to swim this weekend.

National Day Parade 2008

Yesterday was on MC. Not able to blog as usual on Mondays. Due to headaches for days, coupled with the rain on NDP day. Sianz. But I still have some fun with Chloe at home. Brought her out for lunch to Jurong Point to meet Mr, and we mum and daughter took cab there, cos she is a tyrant in bus, so no choice have to take a cab. The cab uncle really funny, when reaching the taxi stand, I was so kan cheong, faster carry my bag, carry Chloe, then faster pass the money to uncle. Then uncle saw, then tell me dun kan cheong, slowly slowly, cos he haven't even stop at the taxi stand yet. Haha! No choice ma, first time bringing her out alone. :P But still, she can't stop whining in the cab as always. Cannot sit still, cannot imagine the day when she is able to walk. :~@

Backdate to NDP, the four of us, my bro, his gf, Mr and me. First time the four of us went together. At first Mr was sianz of the crowd, but when we got seated, with the goodie bag, he seemed to be very excited and rummaged the goodie bag. Haha. So did all of us. We took out the tatoos, and bro's gf suggested to paste on face and she did. Mr asked me to do that as well and he helped me. While he was helping me, a photographer caught us, and he was shooting us. I was so PAI SEH! He at least took 2 to 3 shots and even laughed at us. OMG!

As usual, the hosts and motivators will tell us what to do when the show went live, and Mr was so busy changing "apparatus". And he kept telling me he very busy changing. Lolz. Damn funny. Of cos, NDP at National Stadium is still the best, BIG. Here is quite small stage, though seats are better. Even the president's "drive past" is so short that they have to make rounds on the actual stage within the "contigencies". Anyway, the best part of the show is the "planes" show by Black Knights. Everyone was screaming and shouting and gasping at the 2 planes crossing over each other, one of them performed by Zoe Tay's husband. I always enjoyed going to NDPs. And not to forget the spectacular fireworks! Hopefully next year can ballot successfully again. :) And hope one of the years, can bring Chloe along as well.

Oh ya, we got selected for the SMRT challenge. Though we do not know what is all about, Mat and her bf, Mr and me decided to sign up and play for fun. 31 Aug 2008. Waiting for sat to come, to go for the briefing and get our T-shirts. Then in the afternoon, bringing Chloe for a swim in her new swimsuit and neck float! Hopefully it will be a nice weather!!

8 MILLION 8 MONTHS OLD!

Tomorrow is the 8 million draw and so happen this draw Chloe is 8 months old. And so.. we asked Chloe to pick up 8 numbers for us! LOL. Gamblers. But only this one time. See if she is our LUCKY STAR as when she was born, the person who helped her to choose the name said she will be our lucky star.. lol.

We put the little bits of crushed papers which we wrote the 45 numbers on it. Then throw it infront of her, (regret not filming it down), she only took the ones infront of her. The most she grabbed 2 at one time. After finished the 8 numbers, she realised it was so much fun and wanted to play somemore, so Sis suggest let her take another set of 8 numbers. As usual, we throw in front of her this time, she preferred not to sit up, and she crawl towards the bits of papers and went gaga over them! Sweeping them all over the bed, picking the one and only she wanted! Then she went on to pick one and she put in her mouth! Mr insist that one sure TIO one! Haha! So now we got total of 2 sets of 8 numbers, HUAT AH! :) lolx.

How to make Chloe sleep better at night?

Recently dunno what happen, we have difficulties putting Chloe to sleep at night, she will cry and cry for an hour before she "agrees" to sleep. Luckily on Sat night when she was at my mum's place, she slept quite fast without any crying. Heng! But when we come back on Sun night, the same thing happened again. Haiz, Mr went to reservist and won't be booking out for 3 nights. Dunno how am I going to make her sleep??! Whenever she cries, I also wish I can exchange her nightmares and leave only the sweet ones for her. I guess cos she always have nightmares therefore develops a phobia to sleep. Poor girl.

Nothing much happen, only visited my auntie's place (Chloe's godma) on Sat. And Chloe had a fun time with them, ate biscuits, and she super like to sit on my auntie's leather sofa. The whole sofa only reserved for her! Haha. Queen.

Sun afternoon, we took a bus back to JE, as there was not a cab in sight at my place. We did not think of any consequences and we just board the bus. During the first few minutes Chloe was quietly sitting on my lap, when she start to fidget, OH NO. I quickly give her my ezlink card and she played that for another few minutes. Then she started to get grumpy and me and Mr tried to catch the ezlink card she trying to throw! No use. It dropped to the floor, a little girl opp us picked up the card for us. So sweet of her, and she quite cute also. She kept laughing at Chloe, and she GASPED when Chloe wanted to eat my ezlink card! Haha. Chloe started to shout and cry on the bus, we even joke to get down the bus now Haha, but of cos, we didn't. A few bus stops before we reached, Chloe slept. She always make noise when she wanted to sleep. But somehow at night she make noise and eyes already want to close, but she still don't want to go to sleep. *SHRUG SHOULDERS*

Now can only hope I survived this week when Mr is not at home at night. And hope Sat faster come, so we can go to watch NDP LIVE! Haha. And hopefully to Taka's baby fair before NDP.
